What is alt.ctrl.GDC?!
The innovative alt.ctrl.GDC exhibition will be held from March 19-21, coinciding with the final three days of GDC 2025 at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center.
Visitors will have the chance to play games using alternative controllers and interact with the creative minds behind these groundbreaking projects.
The showcase features exhibitors who are selected through an open submission process which is free to enter and open to everyone.
alt.ctrl.GDC stands as a unique platform for independent developers to showcase alternative controllers.
Vote for your favorite alt.ctrl.GDC games on Wednesday, March 20.
The winning entry will be honored with the alt.ctrl.GDC Award onstage during the 2025 Independent Games Festival Awards ceremony — part of the longest-running showcase celebrating independent game development and their creators.
Last year, escape room game Chú Mó, created by the Chú Mó team at ArtCenter, took home the coveted prize.
